The Hove Vat (St Aubyns) is set to close. On the pub’s Facebook page, the managers of the pub wrote: “We would like to say a massive thank you to all the people who have supported us over the last five-and-three-quarter years, and especially all who have liked, shared, followed and interacted with us on Facebook and Twitter, but when it’s time to go, it’s time to go!” The keys will be handed back to Punch Taverns until further notice. Recently there was a gathering of the FOFB members at Simpsons on the Strand, with an excellent meal and good company. Those attending reflected on the AOFB of yesteryear. Here are some photos from the event.
