The Aquarium was one of the oldest gay friendly pubs in Brighton, hosting regular live entertainment, including drag acts and karaoke evenings before closing down.

The Aquarium has recently reopened as a Kemptown cocktail bar called the Plotting Parlour, where its theatrical drama queens can still have a good gossip after work.
