The Swan Hotel, formerly the Swan Inn, was rebuilt in 1958. Many years ago, a market for corn and barley was held every Friday at the Inn. A stock market was held every alternate Monday.
The hotel was demolished to make way for flats in 2002, and replaced by 18 two and three bedroom homes and a bar. The bar is now known as the Banyan Tree Bar and Indian Restaurant, serving authentic Northern Indian cuisine.
